Every mile
means more
A supported, solo attempt across the southern route of the American Discovery Trail—built around showing up, moving west, and proving what determined people can do.
The expedition begins at the Atlantic in Delaware and ends at the Pacific at Point Reyes, California. This HQ will bring together the route, the public Garmin position, trail-crossing coordination, and practical information for the people helping along the way.
Find Daniel on Garmin
During the expedition, the public Garmin MapShare link will be the live source of truth.
Visitors will come here first, then tap through to Garmin to see the latest inReach position and adjust crossing meetups when the day runs early or late.
Public map comes next
The live button will activate after the inReach device and public MapShare URL are configured.
No simulated location is shown while the tracker is offline.
Atlantic to Pacific
The direction and major regions are settled. The exact trail line and road-crossing schedule will be published from the final GPX/KML route—never approximated.
Exact route pending. The final interactive route and verified crossing points will be added when Daniel’s Southern ADT track file is complete. Until then, this overview deliberately avoids drawing a false trail line.
Meet him
at the crossing
The best support is practical—and human.
Trail angels will use the route schedule and live Garmin position to meet Daniel safely at designated public crossings. Some stops will be quick. Every one will matter.
Crossing dates, windows and safe meetup points will appear here once the exact track is published.
Water
Cold water and planned resupply at a confirmed public crossing.
Food
A fast handoff that keeps the day moving without slowing the record pace.
Company
A few encouraging miles, a quick hug, a shirt or an autograph at the crossing.
Timing
Check Garmin before leaving so an early or late arrival does not become a missed meetup.
Back the miles
Two kinds of support keep this expedition moving—and each has a clear purpose.
Sponsor the expedition
Sponsorship is an advertising partnership that helps support Daniel’s family while he is on the trail and funds the practical reality behind a roughly 5,060-mile, coast-to-coast effort.
Give to St. Jude
Charitable donations are separate from sponsorships. They go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Choose any amount in that range—or set a custom pledge—for about 5,060 miles total.
Claim your place
Choose the partnership level that fits your brand. Every tier connects your company to a coast-to-coast story of endurance and possibility, with benefits scaled to your level of support. Custom partnerships are welcome.

One risk above all
Daniel has a life-threatening yellow-jacket allergy. The support plan treats anaphylaxis readiness as a first-order requirement.
